Altonajet's Privacy Policy has been prepared to provide transparent information on the purposes, methods, and circumstances under which the personal data of individuals using our platform is collected, used, protected, and shared with whom when necessary. Altonajet is committed to protecting the security and privacy of its users' personal data. This policy applies to all digital services (website) operated by Altonajet.
This applies to the website, mobile application, etc., and all visitors, members, and customers using our platform agree to be bound by this policy.
Altonajet complies with applicable national and international data protection legislation, such as the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and related secondary regulations, as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Accordingly, your personal data is always processed lawfully and fairly, accurately and up-to-date, for specific and legitimate purposes; and used in a manner that is relevant to the purpose for which it is processed, limited, and proportionate.
The provisions in this policy may be updated from time to time. In the event of significant changes, the updated policy will be published on the Altonajet platform and the effective date will be stated. It is the user's responsibility to keep track of changes to the Privacy Policy; users who continue to use the platform after the changes will be deemed to have accepted the updated policy.
When you use the Altonajet platform or contact us to use our services, we may collect various types of your personal data. This data can be categorized as information you provide directly, information automatically collected during your use of the platform, and information obtained from third-party sources:
This is used to offer you options that match your preferences. For example, if you have a request regarding a route you have frequently used before, you may be offered special deals.
Your approximate location information can be obtained through this method. This allows us to provide you with suggestions for the nearest airports or information about campaigns specific to your region. You can turn your device's location sharing settings on or off at any time.
In summary, the data collected by Altonajet is primarily that which is necessary for the provision of the service, and includes data that you provide to us or that is generated through your use We do not request unnecessary personal data from you; we strive to process your transactions with minimal data (this principle is in line with the "maximum efficiency principle (data minimization)" of the KVKK).
Your collected personal data is processed to ensure the proper fulfillment of the services provided to you, to comply with legal obligations, and to personalize your experience. At Altonajet, we use your personal data for the following purposes and, when necessary, share it with the specified parties to a limited extent:
Altonajet is responsible for ensuring security. When paying by credit card, your card information is transferred directly to the payment institution; Altonajet only sees information about whether the transaction was successful and limited card information (e.g., the last four digits of the card, card type). Cardholder verification or applications such as 3D Secure can be used to prevent fraud during payment.
This is done to the extent necessary and limited to the relevant function. For example, when a marketing automation tool is used to send email newsletters, your name and email address may be stored on that tool. All contracts with third parties include terms guaranteeing data security and confidentiality.
Altonajet will never sell your personal data to third parties without your permission or use it for marketing purposes without your consent. Sharing is only done within the scope of the legitimate purposes mentioned above and to the extent necessary. Care is taken to ensure that the parties with whom data is shared have an obligation to protect your data and maintain confidentiality.
Protection of Payment Information Altonajet places great importance on the security of users' financial information. All credit card payment transactions made through the platform are carried out in accordance with international security standards (SSL/TLS encryption, PCI-DSS compliance, etc.). Your credit card information is transmitted encrypted from your browser to the payment infrastructure provider during the payment process; Altonajet does not see or store this critical information on its own systems.
The card information you enter on the payment page, such as card number, expiration date, and CVV, is directly transferred to the relevant bank or payment processor for pre-authorization, and the transaction is processed after approval. In the Altonajet system, only masked versions of your card (such as ****1234) can be stored. This is for convenience in future transactions and as a reference in case of returns/cancellations.
Third-party providers we use for payment processing (e.g., international payment gateways) are obligated to ensure the confidentiality and security of your financial information. As financial institutions, these providers are subject to their own legal regulations (BDDK regulations, PCI DSS standards, etc.) and take all necessary technical and administrative measures to protect sensitive data.
Fraud Prevention: Altonajet takes various measures to protect its users against financial fraud. Two-factor authentication methods such as 3D Secure can be used for payment transactions. In addition, data such as your IP address and device information may be examined by anomaly detection systems during the payment process. If a suspicious payment transaction is detected, the transaction may be stopped or the user may be asked to perform additional verification. These measures are intended to both ensure the security of our customers' credit cards and prevent fraudulent transactions.
Third-Party Payment Providers: Altonajet may partner with payment providers based abroad. For example, a globally used payment infrastructure might be based in Delaware, USA. In this case, your financial data shared during the payment process will be securely transmitted to the relevant provider's servers. Such data transfers are subject to the provisions regarding the transfer of data abroad, as described below.

In practice, Altonajet's infrastructure utilizes service providers that adhere to globally accepted security and privacy standards. For example, for transfers outside the European Economic Area, contractual safeguards such as the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) are employed. Similarly, when working with US-based service providers, compliance with regulations such as Privacy Shield (although Privacy Shield has been discontinued by the EU, new mechanisms that may replace it) is sought whenever possible, or commitments to protection compliant with the Turkish Data Protection Law/GDPR are obtained from these companies.
Example of data transfer: The servers of an infrastructure provider we use for your payment processing may be located in the USA. In this case, your financial data will be transmitted to the USA during the payment process. This transfer is secured by the relevant company's PCI-DSS certifications and data protection commitments. Similarly, if an airline operator is located in Europe, the necessary identification information and flight details for flight booking may be transmitted to that operator; in this case, the operator, which is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, is obliged to protect your data.
If you have any questions about which countries your personal data is transferred to and the data protection conditions in those countries, you can contact us to request detailed information. In cases of international data transfers requiring your explicit consent, your approval will be obtained separately.
Altonajet retains the personal data it processes for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation or for the period necessary for the purpose for which it was processed. At the end of this period, or if the purpose of processing ceases to exist (whichever comes first), the data is securely deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
For example:
Data Protection Law (KVKK) and relevant communication legislation. They will be destroyed after this period.
We have an internal Data Retention and Destruction Policy regarding data retention periods, and these are implemented in accordance with the periodic destruction schedule stipulated by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). Within this framework, records whose retention period has expired are systematically deleted during specific periods each year. The destruction process is carried out using technical methods to ensure that the data is destroyed in a way that makes it impossible to recover.
