Third-party providers we use for payment processing (e.g., international payment gateways) are obligated to ensure the confidentiality and security of your financial information. As financial institutions, these providers are subject to their own legal regulations (BDDK regulations, PCI DSS standards, etc.) and take all necessary technical and administrative measures to protect sensitive data.

Fraud Prevention: Altonajet takes various measures to protect its users against financial fraud. Two-factor authentication methods such as 3D Secure can be used for payment transactions. In addition, data such as your IP address and device information may be examined by anomaly detection systems during the payment process. If a suspicious payment transaction is detected, the transaction may be stopped or the user may be asked to perform additional verification. These measures are intended to both ensure the security of our customers' credit cards and prevent fraudulent transactions.

Third-Party Payment Providers: Altonajet may partner with payment providers based abroad. For example, a globally used payment infrastructure might be based in Delaware, USA. In this case, your financial data shared during the payment process will be securely transmitted to the relevant provider's servers. Such data transfers are subject to the provisions regarding the transfer of data abroad, as described below.

Transfer of Personal Data Abroad

As Altonajet is a global private jet platform, some of its business processes may be conducted through servers or business partners located abroad. In this context, your personal data collected in Türkiye may be transferred to systems abroad. For example: - The cloud servers hosting our platform may be located in the USA or EU countries.

  • Our email service or customer relationship management software may be provided by a provider located abroad.
  • As part of an international flight booking, passenger information may be transmitted to the relevant foreign operator (e.g., an operator in Europe or an air taxi company in the USA).

Altonajet complies with the conditions specified in Article 9 of the KVKK (Law on Protection of Personal Data) when transferring personal data abroad. Your data will only be transferred abroad if: a) you have given your explicit consent, or b) the data is transferred to one of the countries declared by the Board as having adequate protection, or c) a written contract guaranteeing adequate protection is concluded between the data controller in Turkey and the recipient abroad, and the Board's permission is obtained.

In practice, Altonajet's infrastructure utilizes service providers that adhere to globally accepted security and privacy standards. For example, for transfers outside the European Economic Area, contractual safeguards such as the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) are employed. Similarly, when working with US-based service providers, compliance with regulations such as Privacy Shield (although Privacy Shield has been discontinued by the EU, new mechanisms that may replace it) is sought whenever possible, or commitments to protection compliant with the Turkish Data Protection Law/GDPR are obtained from these companies.

Example of data transfer: The servers of an infrastructure provider we use for your payment processing may be located in the USA. In this case, your financial data will be transmitted to the USA during the payment process. This transfer is secured by the relevant company's PCI-DSS certifications and data protection commitments. Similarly, if an airline operator is located in Europe, the necessary identification information and flight details for flight booking may be transmitted to that operator; in this case, the operator, which is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, is obliged to protect your data.

If you have any questions about which countries your personal data is transferred to and the data protection conditions in those countries, you can contact us to request detailed information. In cases of international data transfers requiring your explicit consent, your approval will be obtained separately.

For example:

  • When you delete your membership account, identity and contact data associated with the account are deleted from our systems or irreversibly anonymized at the end of a routine backup period. Data that must be legally retained for a longer period (e.g., a business transaction record) are kept separately.

Customs and Passport Procedures: As your flight is a private flight, you will use the dedicated passport control points in the VIP/General Aviation terminals at both departure and arrival airports. However, please ensure all passengers possess valid passports and visas. Upon arrival, your customs declaration (if applicable) will be processed expeditiously with the assistance of FBO officials.

Security and Safety: All private jet flights may undergo similar screening procedures to those on commercial flights due to safety regulations. Please comply with regulations regarding prohibited items on board (hazardous materials, liquid restrictions, etc.). The flight crew will take all necessary precautions for your safety throughout the flight. A brief safety briefing will be given by the captain prior to takeoff (regarding seatbelt use, emergency exits, aircraft equipment, etc.).

Communication: In case of any delay, change of course, or emergency, our Altonajet flight operations center will inform you and, if necessary, your designated emergency contact person.
